Data Deletion Guide

WeConnect respects your privacy rights. This page provides information on how to request deletion of your account and personal data, and the processing procedures.

How to Request Data Deletion

There are two ways to request data deletion:

Method 1: Delete Directly in the App

The fastest and easiest method:

  1. Launch the app and log in
  2. Navigate to the Settings menu
  3. Select Account Settings or Privacy Management menu
  4. Choose the Account Deletion option and confirm

Method 2: Request via Email

If you have difficulty using the app, you can request via email:

Please include 'Data Deletion Request' in the email subject line, along with your account email address and reason for the request.

Data That Will Be Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data will be deleted:

Data TypeDescription
Profile InformationAll information registered in your profile, including name, date of birth, photos, bio, interests, etc.
Messages and ConversationsAll messages and chat history exchanged with other users
Uploaded PhotosAll images uploaded as profile photos and to your gallery
Preference SettingsPersonalization settings such as matching preferences, notification settings, language settings, etc.
Activity RecordsService usage activity history such as likes, interest indicators, search history, etc.

Processing Time

Data deletion requests are processed promptly, generally following these procedures:

Processing Schedule

  • Request Receipt: Immediate confirmation and receipt confirmation email sent
  • Identity Verification: Verification of requester's identity (1-2 days)
  • Data Deletion: Data deletion processing after verification is complete (3-5 days)
  • Completion Notification: Final confirmation email sent after deletion is complete

Data That May Be Retained

Some data may be retained for a certain period due to legal obligations and service safety:

Legal Retention Obligations

The following data is retained in accordance with relevant laws:

  • Transaction Records: Retained for 10 years for tax and accounting legal requirements
  • Consent Records: Personal information processing consent records are retained for 5 years
  • Legal Dispute Related Data: Related data is retained if there are legal disputes

Safety Retention Period

Data is retained for the following periods for service safety:

  • 3 months after account deletion: Retained for investigation of illegal or harmful activities
  • 1 year after account suspension: Retained for investigation of suspension reasons and prevention of recurrence

Anonymous Data

When legally permitted, anonymized statistical data that cannot identify users individually may be maintained for service improvement purposes.

Important Notes

Deletion Cannot Be Undone

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Please back up important data before deletion.

Subscriptions and Payments

If you have an active subscription, you must cancel it before deleting your account. Account deletion alone does not automatically cancel subscriptions.

Account Recovery Not Possible

Deleted accounts cannot be recovered. You can create a new account with the same email address, but previous data will not be recovered.
