By accessing or using WeConnect's services, you agree to comply with these Terms of Service ("Terms" or "Agreement"), including our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Community Guidelines, and Safety Tips. It is important to carefully read this agreement and these policies and procedures before creating an account.

Please carefully review the dispute resolution provisions below, which govern how disputes between you and WeConnect are resolved.

Acceptance of Terms

By using this service, you agree to these terms and related policies.

  • These terms must be carefully read before creating an account
  • If you do not agree, you may not use the service
  • These terms may be revised from time to time, so please check this page regularly for updates

Eligibility

This service is only available to users who meet the following conditions:

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must have a legally valid account
  • Must be willing to comply with these terms and applicable laws
  • Must not have previously had an account terminated for violating these terms

Account and Registration

You must create an account to use the service.

Account Registration

  • You must provide accurate and up-to-date information
  • You may only maintain one account
  • You may not use another person's account or transfer your account to another person

Account Management Responsibility

  • You are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of account information
  • You are responsible for maintaining account security and keeping your password safe
  • You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account

  • Multilingual message exchange and real-time translation services
  • Profile management and search features
  • Community features and event information

Service Modifications

We may modify or discontinue the form and functionality of the service at any time and will provide notice of such changes. We are not responsible for service interruptions, changes, or termination.

Paid Services and Payment

Some services may be provided for a fee, and specific pricing can be found within the service.

Subscription Services

  • Subscription services may auto-renew and will automatically charge if not cancelled before renewal
  • Subscriptions can be cancelled in app settings, and you can continue using the service until the subscription period ends after cancellation
  • Purchases made through external payment systems (e.g., Apple App Store, Google Play) are subject to those platforms' policies

Refund Policy

Refunds are available only in the following cases:

  • When required by law
  • When the service cannot be used due to major defects or errors
  • When cancellation is requested within 3 days of subscription start (excludes some regions)

Prohibited Conduct

The following behaviors are strictly prohibited:

Prohibited Behaviors

  • Providing false information or fraudulent activities
  • Harassment, threats, sexual harassment, or illegal acts against others
  • Spam, illegal marketing activities, or commercial information transmission
  • Actions that damage service security or functionality (hacking, virus distribution, etc.)
  • Intellectual property infringement (copyright, trademark, etc.)
  • Posting illegal or inappropriate content (pornography, violence, discriminatory expressions, etc.)
  • Impersonating others or providing false identity information
  • Automated collection or crawling of the service (bots, scrapers, etc.)

Consequences of Violation

If you violate prohibited behaviors, we may take action including account warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent termination without prior notice. Serious violations may result in legal action.

Content and Intellectual Property

User Content

You retain all rights and responsibilities for all content you post on the service:

  • You retain all rights to content you post and grant us a license to provide the service
  • You may only post content that does not infringe on others' rights
  • We may delete inappropriate or illegal content without prior notice

Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in WeConnect services and related software, designs, logos, trademarks, etc. belong to WeConnect or its licensors. Unless expressly provided in these terms, you do not acquire any rights.

Privacy

A separate Privacy Policy applies to personal information processing. We use your personal information to provide and improve the service, as detailed in the Privacy Policy.

Service Suspension and Termination

Termination by User

You may terminate your use of the service at any time by deleting your account. Account deletion is available in the app settings menu.

Termination by Company

We may restrict service use or terminate accounts without prior notice in the following cases:

  • Violation of these terms or related policies
  • Violation of legal obligations or illegal acts
  • Infringement of service safety or other users' rights

Limitation of Liability

We limit our liability to the maximum extent legally permitted for the following:

  • Service interruptions, errors, losses, or data loss
  • Damages caused by interactions between users (fraud, hacking, physical injury, etc.)
  • Damages caused by links to third-party websites or services
  • Service interruptions due to unpredictable technical issues or natural disasters

Dispute Resolution

If a dispute arises regarding these terms or service use, it will be resolved according to the following procedures:

Governing Law

These terms are interpreted and applied in accordance with the laws of South Korea.

Jurisdiction

Disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Seoul Central District Court as the court of first instance.

Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms after prior notice, and changes will be posted on the service. For major changes, we will notify you via email or in-app notifications.

Continued use of the service after changes to the terms constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

Entire Agreement

These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Community Guidelines, and Safety Tips, constitute the entire agreement between you and WeConnect regarding use of our service. These terms replace all previous agreements, statements, and commitments between the parties, whether written or oral.
